Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County Expands to Western Heights

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 23, 2022) — Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County (BGCOKC) is partnering with Western Heights Public Schools for the first time to provide after-school Club programming at Council Grove and John Glenn elementary schools for elementary students throughout the district.

“We’re thrilled to have this partnership that gives us the opportunity to support kids in the Western Heights district,” said BGCOKC President & CEO Teena Belcik. “Our Clubs go far beyond a typical after-school program. We develop youth through evidence-based programming, academic enrichment, sports, activities and mentoring. We give our members the tools to succeed and become who they are meant to be.”

These new Clubs, located at Council Grove and John Glenn elementary schools will initially serve 100 members in western Oklahoma City. With the opening of these locations, BGCOKC now operates 15 Clubs throughout Oklahoma County.
