BGCOKC is proud to have been chosen as one of the Dell YouthConnect recipients in the US. Dell YouthConnect is the company’s signature giving program designed to help bridge the gap between the technology “haves” and the “have-nots” by placing Dell technology into underserved communities and working with non-profit organizations to teach information and technology skills.

Dell Future Connections will provide Technology Access to all of Boys and Girls Club members in a state of the art training facility.  It will work to remove the most significant barrier to the successful completion of the club’s technology education programs by identifying and remediating underachieving reading comprehension among members. It will also build on previous attempts to provide technology education by providing challenging opportunities for the best readers and achievers to receive additional instruction.  In short, it’s a comprehensive program both removing upstream barriers and providing downstream benefits.

“The Dell Future Connections program will create transformational change at the Boys & Girls Club and for the youth we serve. It significantly deepens our impact, closing the gap between economically advantaged and disadvantaged youth through technology,” says Jane Sutter, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Oklahoma County.

Dell will provide the organization with grant funding as well as its latest technology.  As importantly, a local Dell Champion will manage the deployment and upkeep of Dell systems, and local team members will have the possibility to volunteer their time to support our needs.
